Fantastic start to the year for Jacob.

Kimbolton Round 1

This weekend saw Jacob return to UK race tracks the last time he raced in the UK was back in August as the class he now races has only juts Jan1st become an official UK class.
This is also our first UK race with out new team Dan Holland Racing

The weather forcast this weekend was mix of rain and dry but cold so not the best for the first race.

Saturday was practice and the conditions were wet all day, he’s not been to Kimbolton since 2020 and he was very good last time in the wet this time around again he was very fast 💨

Sunday race day it was wet for practice but he posted the fastest time by 7tenths so was looking good.
The racing is mixed grids so no Quali

Heat 1 started P11 – P2 sadly in post race scrutennering he got disqualified along with half the grid for not having an in line fuel filter fitted a silly rule that came in this year that we didn’t know about 🤦‍♂️

So with a fuel filter we went out to race again

Heat 2 started P2 – P1 👌

Final

Because of the DQ started way down in P8 nearly got caught up in a crash on the first corner and lost a load of places but the pace he had was amazing and he set about working through the field to catch the leader

Started P8 – P1 🏆 fastest Lap ⏱️

A great weekend also for my new team mates with a DHR 1,2,3,4 🏆

Also congrats to Kai Hunter winning senior 👏

Thanks to the whole DHR, Time racing team kart and waft perfect 💨

More testing now before the next race at PFI end of the month.
