UPDATE – AMOREAUTOS OPEN DAY SEPTEMBER THE 12TH! 10AM – 4PM

The event is ON, we will be going ahead with the day as planned.

I’m delighted to announce that Ben Coombs of “Pub to Pub” fame, will be giving a presentation on his 27,000-mile journey in “Kermit” his 4 litre TVR Chimaera.  Ben went from the northernmost bar on the planet, to the southernmost.  That’s from the Arctic to the southernmost tip of South America, crossing oceans, continents and cultures, and travelling with a style and panache which harks back to that glorious age when travel was an art form.

A few were lucky enough to hear of his adventures a few years ago, so I’m delighted he’s agreed to present again. Ben will be on at approximated 12pm.

Update – Early Morning Drive out is cancelled!

We are sorry to announce that following consultation, we have been forced to cancel the early morning drive out. Our planned route clashes with Tour de Gwent and 3,000 cyclists.

Apologies for those planning to do the route but we will see you at Amoreautos 10am onwards for plenty of tea/coffee or something stronger (if not driving).

This is a prebooked event, if you didn’t book, you may be turned away (we have limited parking).

Those of you who can no longer make this day, please let others in the club know on the forums, as people are waiting for tickets. (Your booking included bacon or sausage bap, free tea or coffee and there is also a pay bar for those who want something a little stronger and are not driving!)

If all who booked turn up, we have 150 cars arriving, so please be patient, as we have a single-track access to the site.

We are planning to have donation boxes as this day is for charity and Pancreatic Cancer, so please bring a bit of change!

Hoping the weather will be kind so bring your chairs, to hopefully, sit in some of the last summer sun and take in the views, or bring snorkel and mask, just in case!
