Rather Special – TVR Chimaera 500 in Ocean Haze

1996 – 66000 miles. Ocean Haze with Biscuit/magnolia full leather on gold carpets

Full-service history, some wonderful upgrades and super condition. This is a stunning car from looks, to drive. Its super smooth drive is as a result from the rebuilt, Emerald mapped and tuned big 5L engine.

The exhaust is pure TVR music with the Clive F Y Piece, Act smooth bore induction saw an easy 321 BHP at last Dyno. With switchable maps via a dial on steering column you can switch to pops and bangs at your leisure!

At 57K miles the car underwent considerable restoration including reconditioned radiator, power steering overhaul, new exhaust manifold, new cam, rebuilt heads, inlet manifolds and a complete chassis/brakes and interior overhaul.

The chassis is covered in clear wax oil and has little to no rust areas, really good!

Car sits on Vintage Calibre 16/17” wheels with 205/235 Toyo T1Rs tyres, all new in July 2018 (3,000 miles since) and with 6-7mm of tread all round.

The interior has had the leather recolonised, replaced the seatbelts, wood steering wheel, dash re wired and fitted with new push switches, LED lamps, and fitted a metal dash. The seats are also heated.

If the exhaust is not enough, it also has a new head unit with expensive alpine amp and speakers, not that you’ll ever use it LOL.
